 Medipost Holdings Board introduces new non-executive director

Neuropsychologist and businesswoman appointed to Medipost Holdings Board

 Tuesday, 18 May 2021The Medipost Holdings Board of Directors is pleased to introduce its newest member, distinguished neuropsychologist and businesswoman Urvashi Maganlal who was recently appointed to the Board as a non-executive director.

“We warmly welcome Urvashi Maganlalto our Medipost Holdings Board. The specialised expertise she brings,coupled with her considerable business acumen and healthcare experience, make Urvashi’s perspective a most valuable addition to the Group,” saysMamedupiMatsipa, chairperson of Medipost Holdings.

Mrs Maganlalis a dual registered clinical neuropsychologist and clinical psychologist. She holds an MA in Neuropsychology from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) and has been a member of the Health Professions Council of South Africa’s Ethics Working Committee since 2018 and is currently serving on the executive committee of the South African Clinical Neuropsychological Association.

Prior to this, Mrs Maganlal(née Chiba) pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from UNISA, having initially qualified with a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) from Wits. For the first two decades of her career, she worked in the corporate environment in business development and strategy for the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and personal care industries.

“I am delighted at the opportunity to serve on the Medipost Group’s Board of Directors, particularly at this juncture in the evolution of our country’s healthcare, which is brimming with possibility,” Mrs Maganlal says.

“With this background, Urvashi’s perceptive understanding of key issues at the heart of the Medipost Holdings Group’s continuum of care will strengthen our Board,” Matsipa says.

“We look forward to sharing insights that will create additional value for patients, clients and shareholders and contribute meaningfully to the wider South African healthcare ecosystem.”
