I joined the Medipost Group on 1 October 2013 and have grown both professionally and personally throughout my journey with the organisation. Starting as a Support Assistant, I gained experience across various operational functions before progressing through roles including Receiving Clerk, DOH Quality Assurance, NBC Consultant, and Distribution Supervisor. Today, I serve as Distribution and Put-away Supervisor at Kawari Warehouse.

Along the way, I completed a BSc in Information Technology and qualified as a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant, achievements made possible through the opportunities and support provided by the company.

The greatest growth I have experienced has been in my confidence, problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills. I have learned to adapt to change, take initiative, and work collaboratively to achieve results.

I believe that skills development and training are essential for career growth. Continuous learning not only improves performance and confidence but also prepares employees to take on new challenges and contribute meaningfully to the organisation’s success.

My journey is proof that with dedication, learning, and the right opportunities, growth is always possible.

I would like to express my gratitude for the opportunity to be considered as a success story on the MTA webpage. When I first joined Medipost, I never imagined how much I would grow both personally and professionally in such a short time. My journey is proof that with hard work, determination, and the opportunities provided by the company, growth is possible.

I have worked at MTA for 1 year and 6 months and currently hold the position of Training Administrator. I have an N6 Certificate in Management Assistant and I am currently furthering my studies through a Generic Management Course with MTA.

My journey began as a Cleaner, and through dedication and a willingness to learn, I was given the opportunity to grow into my current role. This progression has helped me develop confidence, professionalism, and independence. I am now comfortable coordinating training activities, interacting with employees, and managing administrative responsibilities.

The greatest growth I have experienced has been in my mindset and confidence. I have learned to believe in my abilities, embrace new challenges, and continuously improve myself. I have also developed stronger communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, while gaining valuable experience in teamwork and accountability.

I strongly believe that skills development and training are key to unlocking employee potential. The MTA department provides meaningful opportunities through training, learnerships, and bursaries that allow employees to further their studies and grow their careers. I am a living example of how these opportunities can transform a person’s life and open doors to a better future.

My journey with MediPost began 12 years ago as an Outbound Call Centre Agent in Patient Communication. Since then, I have embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and develop my career within the organisation.

After joining the Patient Retention Project in Order Processing, I moved into an Administrator role in M01. During this time, I was given the opportunity to study and qualify as a Basic Pharmacist Assistant, followed by a Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification in 2018. I later joined the Inbound Pharmacy Cluster as an Administrator, progressed to Pharmacist Assistant, and today I proudly serve as the Inbound Pharmacy Cluster Supervisor.

My development journey did not stop there. Through the support of the company and Medi Training Academy, I successfully completed various management programmes, including Line Manager Training and the Generic Management NQF 6 qualification.

Looking back, one of my greatest achievements has been progressing from a call centre agent to leading my own team. The knowledge, skills, and experience I have gained across different departments have equipped me to contribute meaningfully to the business while supporting and developing others.

I believe that skills development and training are lifelong journeys. There is always something new to learn, and every opportunity to develop yourself creates possibilities for future growth. I am grateful for the investment MediPost has made in my development and proud of the career path I have built within the organisation.
